Isabel discovered photography when she was about thirteen years old. She received a lot of encouragement from her first teacher, David MacDonald. She also studied with Joe Swayze at the Maine Photographic Workshop Young Photographers program. She liked to make high contrast pictures in black and white.

The pictures shown in the thumbnails below were ones she took in Europe shortly before she died. She had sent the prints and negatives home to us for safekeeping.
